Baron Corbin now a regular in WWE NXT
Baron Corbin is expected to remain part of the WWE NXT brand for the foreseeable future.
The 38-year-old was featured in a video on Tuesday’s edition of the show. He was shown burning several items related to his past gimmicks and said, “It’s time for no gimmicks, no-nonsense, and no bulls**t.”
Our own Dave Meltzer addressed Corbin’s status recently on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“He’s a regular now in NXT and there’s going to be more people like that,” Meltzer said.

Corbin was one of several wrestlers listed as a “free agent” after the WWE Draft in May. He then returned to NXT on the 5/30 episode and attacked Carmelo Hayes. He defeated Trick Williams on the 6/6 show, then beat Ilja Dragunov on 6/13 before dropping an NXT Championship match to Hayes on 6/27.
Mustafa Ali and Los Lotharios have also been involved in NXT storylines of late. AJ Styles, Rhea Ripley, and Seth Rollins have all appeared on the show in recent weeks as well.
